Proper customer service as demonstrated by UPS

Posted by LIServiceGuy
When a Houston man saw his online order of .22 caliber ammunition, chemicals, and a machine used to clean gun parts strewn all over his yard, he pulled up his security footage to determine what created the disaster and was shocked to find out what the UPS deliverer had done at his home. Ben Lucas came home to a mess out in front of his house. The expensive parcel he was expecting was broken open and all over his yard, and most of the pricey contents inside were damaged. In reviewing his home’s security footage, he was disturbed to find the UPS employee had his way at the residence, tossing the package over the gate when he couldn’t get it open, before unzipping his pants and urinating all over the side of Lucas’ home. “So basically I paid someone to come to my house and pee on it,” Lucas told the local news station. The irate customer wanted retribution for the disgusting January 8 incident that left him with unusable merchandise and human waste on his house to clean up. He reached out to UPS to report the issue, only to be disappointed a second time around when a company official acted flippant and wasn’t interested in seeing Lucas’ footage. “I just wanted them to hear me and maybe give me an email address where I could send them the video,” Lucas said. “They simply just didn’t want to see it.” Shocked by what happened, Lucas posted the video on social media along with a description of what happened, including the lack of concern from UPS after it was reported. This action finally got the attention of a UPS divisional manager who came clamoring with apologies, excuses, and offers of a “we’re sorry” gift.
